Fenor Food Products formerly Fenor Trading was started as a hobby by its owner Leonor Echavez. The first products were adobo peanuts and roasted peanuts.
With the help of one staff, the cooked peanuts were being delivered to small stores in Fairview. The products were offered in consignment basis. In 1993 it was registered in the Department of Trade and Industry and aside from the small stores, started delivering to canteens and cooperatives. The big break was in 1997, Ever Gotesco Supermarkets accepted the products to be sold in their supermarkets. Additional products such as Ilocos Chichacorn, Butong Pakwan,Potato Twirls etc were also delivered. Afterwards SM Supermarkets and Department Stores also accepted the products for their supermarkets and Snack Exchange in their Department Stores.
In the year 2000 we started to cook Crispy Anchovies Hot & Spicy, Crispy Anchovies Breaded and Crispy Squid and Crispy Slip Mouth. All these products were
also delivered to SM Supermarkets, Ever Gotesco, and to the different bazaars such as Greenhills, Market- Market and Tiendesitas. We also started to try the export market, fortunately we were able to penetrate U.S. and Canada. In 2005 we repacked Dried Herring (Tuyo), Dried Nemipterid (Besugo), Dried SlipMouth (SapSap) and Dried Anchovies (Dilis).
